Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with the community and make long lasting connections.
 

The PA relies on volunteers to make all of our programs a success. Volunteers are needed throughout the year for the following committees and events. Click below for descriptions and register for any/all areas of interest to you.

Volunteer Opportunities

Homecoming
Work closely with the Development Office to help plan, coordinate and run various events and activities during Homecoming.
LS/MS Book Fair
The Book Fair is an on-campus event that brings the joy and excitement of reading to students.
PA King Ambassadors
The mission of the PA King Ambassador Program is to welcome our new families to our school community by being a resource as they transition to King, and navigate their first year.
PA King Cares

To work in close collaboration with parents and the Director of the King Cares Service Program, to support King's commitment to volunteerism, service learning and social awareness.

Sub-committees include: Building 1 Community, Inspirica, Food Drives, Blood Drive, Midnight Run, and King Closet.

PA KInD Committee
To work closely with the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to help foster a culture in which King is a welcoming, safe space for our entire school community through various events throughout the year.
PA Nominating Committee
To actively seek volunteers who would like to serve in PA Leadership positions and incorporate diverse and multiple perspectives to carry out the mission, vision and values of the Parents’ Association and the King School Community.
PA Speaker Series
To provide a forum for parents to support one another in our shared endeavor of raising ethical and responsible children by presenting relevant speakers and by creating opportunities for discussion among parents and within families.
PA Supports the Arts
To promote visual and performing arts by providing enrichment activities and performances; to encourage and facilitate a partnership among parents, faculty, staff, and students; to support, strengthen, and enrich all the Arts at King.
PA Viking Pride
To work in close collaboration with the Dean and Director of Athletics to support and celebrate the student athletes in the MS and US and to develop programs that inspire connection and school spirit with the LS students and US athletes.
School Store
The King School Store, run by the Parents’ Association, offers a variety of King School merchandise for students and adults including athletic wear, logo wear, and specialty items. We are always looking for volunteers to help out at our store!
Senior Stress Busters
The Parents' Association provides opportunities throughout the year for parents to plan Stress Buster events for the Senior class to ease their stress during the college admissions process.
Sunshine Committee
The Sunshine Committee is available to send, on behalf of the King Parents’ Association, messages of support along with flowers and/or gift baskets to individuals and families who are facing challenges or difficult times. Anyone can submit a request for Sunshine Committee outreach. Requests will be handled discretely as needed.️
