What's Possible When
WONDER Leads the Way?
At King, the smartest person in the room is not the one with all the answers but the one with all the questions.
Our students are curious—they aren't afraid to ask why, try something new, or get it wrong before they get it right.
Because if it wasn’t for curiosity, no one would have ever discovered that the Earth is round. If it weren’t for questions, we wouldn’t know that we can fly. If it wasn’t for exploration, we would never have reached the moon. Questions took us there.
We believe in the POWER OF WONDER.
King Middle School is a place where curiosity is encouraged, and exploration is embraced. From American literature to singing in the choir to building robots in the Innovation Lab, students have the freedom to explore a wide range of subjects that ignite their interests and passions. Every student’s schedule is filled with opportunities to think critically, solve problems, and discover their unique talents.

How Do Questions Shape
BRIGHT FUTURES?
Curiosity leads to Self-Discovery
At King, we celebrate middle school as a time of academic growth and character development. Students are encouraged to ask big questions about who they are, what they are capable of, and how they can make a positive impact on the world. Through independent research projects, students delve deep into topics that interest them, developing research skills and real-world insights.
Inquiry-based learning encourages students to use their voice and choice. Teachers identify opportunities both inside and outside the classroom where students can engage in the process of questioning, gathering information, evaluating, applying, and revising. These moments of discovery include outdoor education experiences at local environmental preserves, global issue simulations, and interdisciplinary studies. The inquiry-based approach fosters curiosity and self-discovery, helping students connect their learning to their world.

Learning Through a
GLOBAL LENS
King School’s Global Education program provides middle school students with a dynamic, interdisciplinary curriculum that broadens their perspective. Through innovative courses in mathematics, world languages, computer science, life skills, and the arts, students develop critical competencies for navigating and thriving in an interconnected world.
A global lens is woven throughout every discipline. By studying subjects from this broad viewpoint, students learn how to navigate challenges, collaborate across cultures, and make informed decisions. These skills are essential for shaping positive change and becoming thoughtful, compassionate global citizens.

How Does a Nurturing Environment
FUEL STUDENT SUCCESS?
