King of Spring is a tradition that combines different elements of King’s co-curricular activities – Athletics, King Cares, and Performing Arts – all in one weekend!

Students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and family members enjoy athletic games, join our local partners to participate in meaningful service projects as a community, and listen to live music from our students and community members.

Saturday, April 26 - Athletic Games and Food Trucks

Cheer on the Vikings for a day of spring athletic games! 

  • 10:30 a.m. JV Baseball vs. Greenwich Country Day School | Feinberg Field
  • 11:00 a.m. Varsity Boys Lacrosse vs. Brunswick | Segalas Family Field
  • 12:00 p.m. Varsity Softball vs. Hopkins School | Armstrong and King Family Fields
  • 1:00 p.m.  Varsity Girls Lacrosse vs. Storm King School | Segalas Family Field
  • 1:30 p.m. Varsity Baseball vs. Harvey School | Feinberg Field

 

Important Update

Due to the unfortunate forecast of rain, wind, and possible thunder for Saturday, we will be shifting King of Spring spirit activities to line up with Upper School spring team competitions taking place on campus over the next two weeks. While Saturday's games are still on as scheduled for now, the food trucks, Viking Pride spirit table, face painting, and raffles have been called off for Saturday.

The following events have now been scheduled to help celebrate and recognize our spring Vikings:

The UCONN Pep Band, fresh off their performances at the NCAA basketball tournaments is coming to King to do a clinic and performance with our students!  The Pep Band will lead a rehearsal with our students and also break out into sectionals where our students will have the chance to have a Q & A with the UCONN Pep band students to ask about their college experience. 

Join us at 6:00 p.m.! The UCONN Pep Band will do a performance which culminates with our students joining them on stage for a side-by-side performance for a few fun songs!

 


Sunday, April 27 - King Cares Family Service Day and Music Fest

This annual event will highlight King School's commitment to service and celebrate several of our community partnerships. Join us for a day of music, community service, and fun! Students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and family members will join our local partners to participate in meaningful service projects as a community. The day will also include a pizza truck, fun activities and events and a live music festival!

  • 9:45 a.m -  Check-In Begins | Lower School Gymnasium
    • Volunteers can sign cards for patients at Stamford Hospital
  • 9:45-11:30 a.m. - Car Wash | Lower School Parking Lot
  • 10:30 -11:45 a.m. - Service Projects with King Cares Partners | King Campus
  • 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Pet Adoption Event hosted by the KSPA Club | Upper School Circle Driveway
  • 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m.  - King-Pride Activities: Face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon animals, cookie decorating, and cornhole games | Performing Arts Center Courtyard
  • 11:45 a.m-1:30 p.m. - King Music Festival in support of Project Music | Performing Arts Center Courtyard

Pre-registration for King Cares Family Service Day Activities is now closed, however, you can still walk in and volunteer where there’s space available.

Get your car washed for only $10!

All proceeds will support the Children’s Learning Centers in providing backpacks and school supplies for PreK students who will begin Kindergarten next school year. During the event, drive to the Lower School for a car wash.
