Alumni Return, Senior Night Victories, and Leadership Development

Welcome Back, Jayne Tully ’17 and Claire Morris Nadler ’17!

We are thrilled to welcome back Jayne Tully ’17 and Claire Morris Nadler ’17 to King School!

Tully joins the Development Office as an Alumni Relations Associate and will also take on the role of Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team. While at King, Tully was a two-time All-New England performer and an All-FAA selection as team captain in both lacrosse and field hockey. An outstanding athlete and competitor, she was named team MVP for both programs and was recognized as the Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 2017. She went on to play Division I Lacrosse at Fairfield University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing before later completing a master’s certificate in Digital Marketing and Storytelling from the University of Pennsylvania.

Nadler returns to King as the Assistant Coach for the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team, reuniting with Tully, her friend and former teammate. As a student-athlete at King, Nadler was a four-year member of the Varsity Field Hockey and Girls’ Lacrosse teams, earning All-FAA and All-New England honors and serving as co-captain in her senior seasons. She previously returned to King as an assistant coach for both teams in 2020-21 before completing nursing school. Since then, Nadler has been working as an ER registered nurse and is excited to bring her passion for the game back to the field.

We are so proud to have Tully and Nadler back at King and can’t wait to see the impact they will have on our student-athletes!

Girls and Boys Basketball Celebrate Seniors with Big Wins

King School Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball proudly celebrated their seniors with a home double-header on Wednesday. In the first game, the girls took on Wooster School, with a special ceremony before the game to honor Dahlia Barrett ’25, Sophia Roy ’25, and captains Ava Angelov ’25 and Abby Kuffel ’25 for their leadership and dedication to the program.

The team played with heart and determination, securing a well-earned victory and extending their winning streak to seven games. Every player contributed in their own way, bringing energy, hustle, and teamwork to the court. Our seniors led the charge, leaving everything on the floor and setting the tone for a memorable performance.

It was a game to remember — filled with passion, pride, and the true spirit of King basketball. Congratulations to our seniors and the entire team on an incredible win!

In the second game, seniors Chris Ippolito, George McCormack, Jakari Morgan, and captain Griffin Joo were honored for their contributions to the basketball program. The team capped off the special night with an impressive 89-65 victory over Hopkins.

The Vikings put on a dominant offensive performance, including shooting over 60% from both two and three-point range. McCormack led the way with 24 points, while juniors AJ Trimboli ’26, 19 points and six assists, and Jonovan Bracey ’26, 16 points, on 9-for-11 from the free-throw line, also chipped in. The team’s exceptional ball movement played a key role in the win, recording 25 assists on 28 made field goals, including five assists from Henry Simon ’26.

It was a fantastic team effort and a great way to celebrate our seniors. Congratulations to the Vikings on a big win!

Male Athlete Leadership Event: Exploring Identity Through Art and Movement

The Male Athlete Leadership event, themed "Who Am I in My Community," brought together over 60 athletes and 10 coaches for a dynamic leadership development experience. Participants engaged in an art workshop, creating abstract self-portraits as a reflection of their identities, followed by a jiu-jitsu session emphasizing balance, body respect, and personal growth. Through these unique experiences, athletes strengthened their leadership skills, gaining tools to positively impact their teams and communities.
