Welcome from the King School Marketing & Communication office. Our job is to ensure that you have access to timely and accurate information regarding the activities, events and programs happening at King School. Please review the communication tools below for a comprehensive overview of the different technologies, platforms and processes available to you.

KING SCHOOL WEBSITE
The main location where you can find up-to-date information about King School is through our website and Parent Portal. Here are some helpful destinations within the kingschoolct.org website:

The information found on the Parent Portal varies but generally it contains all school, divisional and/or student specific information. Information within the portal is personalized to you specifically, which is why you need to login to access this information. Below are a few examples of resources available within the portals.

- Go to “My King” to access information for your child, e.g. Student Class Pages; homework assignments, report cards, class calendars, and moreWe’ve launched a new software, My King, that provides access to information on your child and helps you stay in communication with your child's teachers. The Parent Portal FAQ will provide information on how to access and use MyKing. Teachers use Class Pages to share news with parents and students. There will be no need to subscribe to Class Pages; you will automatically have access to them during the first week of school.

HOW TO ACCESS PARENT PORTAL
To access the Parent Portal, click the Community Login, button located at the top of each website page and follow the instructions on the page under "Parent Login."
ONLINE COMMUNITY DIRECTORY
Our Community Directory, with contact information for Parents, Students, Faculty, and Staff, can also be found online in the Parent Portal. Please update your contact information online any time it changes by simply logging into the Parent Portal and clicking on your “Profile.” Follow the instructions on the Website FAQ Page under “How do I update (or hide) my contact information?”
KING SCHOOL APP
The King School App is a quick and easy way for our community to access information on the go. Within the app you’ll find our online Community Directory, Athletics schedules, school calendars, news as well as quick links to useful pages on our website - including the groups dashboard. You can download the King School App in the app store by searching “King School CT” or by clicking this link from your Apple device. Once you download the app, please be sure to click the “login” button on the upper right hand corner to verify your identify. Once you have signed in, the content within the app will be personalized to you.
When you use the King School App to access the Community Directory, you quickly can find contact information and then conveniently click directly to call a phone number, view family members or a home address.

During the school year, we send a bi-weekly communication to all parents. This communication acts as a high-level overview of what’s happening at the school by division as well as for various school programs (e.g. King Cares, Athletics, Arts, Global Education). You will automatically receive these emails to the email address you have on file with the school.
We encourage you to read the newsletter to learn about upcoming events and keep informed about divisional updates. If you miss a newsletter, you can access a link to prior newsletters, on the homepage of the Parent Portal under “Recent Newsletters.”
ALERTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
From the King School website you can sign up for alerts and subscriptions for news and calendar categories. By signing up for single alerts or by subscribing to a calendar/news category, you will receive an email or text each time a news story is published or before a calendar event takes place. Follow the instructions on the Website FAQ Page under “How do I subscribe to receive Calendar alerts” or “How do I sign up for News alerts” for more information.
CALENDAR & CALENDAR FEED
The King School website includes a comprehensive School Calendar, accessible from the site homepage under Campus Life and also accessible from the King App. From our website you can also set up a calendar feed to your personal online calendar (e.g. Google Calendar, Outlook, or iCAL). By subscribing to a particular calendar category (or athletic team) you can automatically export the King Calendar right to your personal calendar. Please follow the instructions on the Website FAQ Page under “How do I export entire calendar categories (ex. Athletic Team or Lower School Events) to my calendar?”
GRADE REP COMMUNICATIONS
The Parents’ Association Grade Representatives communicate with each grade to share information and updates on school events and programs. You will automatically begin receiving these emails from the PA to the email address you have on file with the school. If you are not receiving communications, please reach out to the grade representative listed online.

If you would like to work with someone in person, simply drop in to our Help Center in the Marketing and Communication Office, Lower School room 10. Help Center office hours in September will be 8:00-9:00 a.m. on September 5, 6, 12, 13, and 17. There will also be afternoon office hours on September 17, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
