Welcome from the King School Marketing and Communication office. Our job is to ensure that you have access to timely and accurate information regarding the activities, events and programs happening at King School. Please review the communication tools below for a comprehensive overview of the different technologies, platforms, and processes available to you.

KING SCHOOL WEBSITE
The main location where you can find up-to-date information about King School is through our website and Parent Portal. Here are some helpful destinations within the kingschoolct.org website:

The information found on the Parent Portal varies but generally it contains all school, divisional and/or student specific information. MyKing is a our student information system that provides access to information on your child and helps you stay in communication with your child's teachers. Teachers use Class Pages to share news with parents and students.

HOW TO ACCESS PARENT PORTAL anD MyKing
To access the Parent Portal and MyKing, click the Community Login, button located at the top of each website page. If it's your first time logging, please follow the instructions on the bottom on the Community Login page.
ONLINE COMMUNITY DIRECTORY
Our online Community Directory, with contact information for Parents, Students, Faculty, and Staff, can be found online in the Parent Portal. Please update your contact information online any time it changes by simply logging into the Parent Portal and clicking on your “Profile.” Follow the instructions on the Website FAQ Page under “How do I update (or hide) my contact information?”
We encourage you to follow our social media channels for the latest school news, photos, and video. Share posts with friends and engage in the conversation!

During the school year, we send a bi-weekly communication to all parents. This communication acts as a high-level overview of what’s happening at the school by division as well as for various school programs (e.g. King Cares, Arts, Global Education). You will automatically receive these emails to the email address you have on file with King School.
We encourage you to read the newsletter to learn about upcoming events and keep informed about divisional updates. If you miss a newsletter, you can access a link to prior newsletters, on the homepage of the Parent Portal under “Recent Newsletters.”
ALERTS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
From the King School website, you can sign up for alerts and subscriptions for news and calendar categories. By signing up for single alerts or by subscribing to a calendar/news category, you will receive an email or text each time a news story is published or before a calendar event takes place. Follow the instructions on the Website FAQ Page under “How do I subscribe to receive Calendar alerts?” or “How do I sign up for News alerts?” for more information.
CALENDAR & CALENDAR FEED
The King School website includes a comprehensive School Calendar, accessible from the site homepage under Campus Life and also accessible from the King App. From our website you can also set up a calendar feed to your personal online calendar (e.g. Google Calendar, Outlook, or iCAL). By subscribing to a particular calendar category (or athletic team) you can automatically export the King Calendar right to your personal calendar. Please follow the instructions on the Website FAQ Page under “How do I export entire calendar categories (ex. Athletic Team or Lower School Events) to my calendar?”
GRADE REP COMMUNICATIONS
The Parents’ Association Grade Representatives communicate with each grade to share information and updates on school events and programs. You will automatically begin receiving these emails from the PA to the email address you have on file with the school. If you are not receiving communications, please reach out to the grade representative listed online.

King School App
The King School App is a quick and easy way for our community to access information on the go. Within the app you’ll find our Athletics schedules, school calendars, and news. You can download the King School App in the Apple app store by searching “King School CT” or by clicking this link from your Apple device.
We are currently developing an updated King School App that is scheduled for release in the Fall for iPhone and, new this year, for Android. The new app will be more interactive and engaging, allowing you to filter content for athletic games, news, and calendared events while storing your preferences for subsequent use. We will let you know when the new app is ready to download. During the development process for the new app, the current iPhone app login will be unavailable to parents. This means that while you can continue to use the current app to access information that does not require login (Athletics, News, Calendar), parents will unfortunately not be able to use the current app to access data that does require login (Community Directory). We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to access our directory via any web browser on your desktop computer or mobile phone.
