Community rings in the new year at annual State of the School

Over 400 parents, alumni, and Staffulty gathered on Thursday, September 20 to ring in the new school year together. Our annual State of the School event highlighted the robust health and caring community of King School as we enter this exciting year under the new leadership of Head of School Dr. Karen Eshoo.

In his welcoming remarks, Board of Trustees President Tom Conheeney spoke eloquently about how Karen has the right combination of leadership, skills, experience, and personality to lead King School into the future. Dr Eshoo enthusiastically described the King community, culture, program, and financial health. Plus, Karen challenged us all to continue to support our community, culture, and programs through strong Annual Fund participation. Luke Buttenwieser, President of the US student body, inspired us all to foster our culture of care by being of service to ourselves, to others, and to our community. It was so meaningful to celebrate as a community by together ringing in the new school year and enjoying dinner and cocktails in the Murray Academic Center. View the video from the evening here.
