Teaching at King

We expect our teachers consistently to incorporate student-centered best practices. We constantly seek ways to deepen our understanding of the dynamic relationship between the learning and teaching processes. We support one another in a variety of ways to achieve this goal including:

  • Extensive mentoring program for first–year teachers
  • Examination and application of detailed learning profiles for each student to inform lesson plan development
  • Collaborative weekly meetings to discuss best practices
  • On-going professional growth and development opportunities both on and off campus

Over 80% of our Faculty holds advanced degrees and Faculty and students benefit from an average class size of 12 and a teacher/student ratio of 1:6.
