Bio:  Edward Mulé is the co-Founder, CEO and Portfolio Manager of Silver Point Capital, a private investing firm focused on credit and special situations, headquartered in Greenwich, CT. Prior to founding Silver Point in 2002, Ed worked for more than 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he built and led Goldman’s special situations / distressed debt businesses.  He joined Goldman Sachs in 1984 as an investment banker in the Mergers and Acquisitions group and worked in the Office of the Chairman from 1991 to 1994.  Ed headed or co-headed Goldman’s Distressed Debt trading business from 1996 until 1999, the Special Situations Investing Business from 1999 to 2001, and co-founded the Asian Distressed Debt Investing Business and associated funds from 1998 to 2001. He was elected general partner in 1994.  Ed graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, contemporaneously receiving both his M.B.A. and B.S. degrees at the age of 21.
