Dear Rising Kindergarten Families,
Happy summer break! We have shared with you the Summer Activity Book, which provides experiences to keep your child learning and exploring in preparation for kindergarten. We recommend completing a few activities a week. Can you complete your KINGO board by the end of summer?
We ask that you support your child in preparing sensory play activities, gathering loose parts, reading instructions, and reflecting on their work and play. Remember that the opportunity for learning is everywhere! Noticing letters on a storefront, pointing out shapes and patterns in nature, and counting seashells at the beach are all powerful experiences to support your rising Kindergartener.
Happy Exploring!

Dear Entering Grade One Families,
Happy summer break! We have shared with you the Summer Bridge activity book, which provides routine practice for students and helps them to retain their academic skills over the summer. We suggest students complete 1-2 pages per day. There will be some pages that your child can do independently, and other pages that will require your participation, such as the science experiments and fitness activities.
We ask that you support your child by reviewing the work each day using the answer key at the back of the book. Please return the Summer Bridge book to your child's first grade teacher in the fall. Keeping a journal for sketching and writing down ideas, going on a hike or camping, or visiting museums are wonderful ways to help your child continue to practice their writing skills.

Dear Rising 6th Grade Families,
Happy summer break! Whatever your plans may be, we hope that you have a fantastic summer vacation!
Members of the Middle School team will share with you some math and reading work that will be required assignments over the summer. The Summer Bridge activity book from the Lower School is optional support for students to retain their academic skills over the summer months. It is designed for students to complete 1-2 pages each day. The Summer Bridge activity book will not need to be submitted to the 6th grade teachers, and therefore it can be kept at home.
It truly has been a pleasure working with all of our 5th grade students and families. We are so proud of what the 5th graders have learned and accomplished this year. We wish you all the very best as you continue your learning journey at the Middle School.
Best regards,
The Grade 5 Team
