Board of Trustees' statement on anti-racism

King's campus is closed.  The Admission Office Team is working remotely and would love to connect with prospective families.  Please email admission@kingschoolct.org or call (203) 322-3496, Ext. 350 to reach out to us. Learn about KingIsHome, our remote learning program.

Preparedness for Coronavirus clone

The safety of our students, staffulty, and families is our top priority, and we are carefully assessing and pursuing the preparatory steps that are appropriate for our community.  We are committed to following the guidance and advice from experts so that our policies and practices are informed by the strongest evidence available.

Latest Updates

CDC has currently established travel warnings to six countries considered high risk. The United States is currently at a low risk.

All Community members Traveling Abroad

In order to be proactive about the health and safety of our school community, we are requesting that all members of the King community who travel abroad inform Lisa Nero, our Director of Human Resources, at travelplans@kingschoolct.org about your travel prior to returning to school.

Most importantly, for those who traveled to an area that has been deemed by the CDC to have been significantly affected by coronavirus, or for those whose travel brings them in close contact to anyone who has the virus, they will not be allowed to return to campus until they have been without symptoms for 14 days from the date of arrival in the United States as recommended by the CDC.

Global Trips

We have cancelled both our student trip to Colombia scheduled for spring break, as well as the planned visit to King by the students from Colombia in April. We continue to work with our travel partners to monitor closely the situation. As per our recent communication to those King School families whose child is enrolled in one of our summer international programs, we will assess the status of all programs after mid-April and will be offering different options in the case of cancellation. Please contact Dr. Chosson at gchosson@kingschoolct.org if you have any questions.

Athletic Spring Training Trips

The spring training trips to Florida are cancelled. Because the spread of the virus keeps changing quickly, we can no longer support overnight trips that, if affected, would keep students and chaperones from their own families for extended periods of time.
