This week, Varsity Volleyball celebrated its first-ever New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class A title with a 3-0 sweep of Phillips Exeter Academy! The match, played at Taft School in Watertown, on November 12, concluded another incredible season for the Vikings. The win marks a ninth straight New England Title across Class A, B, and C!  

This year’s success follows four years of Class B and C title wins (2015-2018, 2019, 2021-2023), This fall, the team was granted a spot in Class A for the next three seasons. The lead-up to the NEPSAC final saw the Vikings defeat The Hotchkiss School 3-0 in the quarterfinals and Choate Rosemary Hall 3-0 in the semifinals. Exeter was stunned as they had not lost a set all year in any match, but the Vikings dominated from start to finish, only trailing one time in the whole match in the second set. 

This caps an incredible three-year stretch during which the team has won each FAA and New England title and only lost one match, standing at 63-1 since 2022! All-League and All-New England selections will be announced after the Thanksgiving holiday. King athletes are poised to be well-represented due to their success this season as the best team in New England! 

Several Vikings have also already made their college commitment decisions, with senior Caroline Ellis ’25 an Ole Miss commit, senior Vivi Mansfield ’25 a Johnson & Wales commit, and junior Emily McKee ’26 a Willam & Mary commit.

Congratulations to all of the athletes and coaches on an amazing season and postseason run, and a special shout-out to seniors Caroline Ellis, Ellie Grabowski, Sydney Hauben, Isabella Kolenberg, and Vivi Mansfield who ended their King School careers undefeated!
