Winter Showcase and Spirit Week Schedule

2023 King Winter Showcase and Spirit Week

This year's Winter Showcase will feature three of King's varsity teams in action, along with an upper school faculty versus student basketball game on Saturday, January 28. There will be plenty of momentum leading up to the game as students celebrate Spirit Week in all divisions, which will culminate in an upper school dance on the evening of Friday, January 27. Flik will be providing King "concession stand" items for all King students in attendance at the showcase games on campus on Saturday!

Note: Middle and Upper School will not participate in a theme day on Monday, January 23 due to an admissions event.

Winter Showcase Dance (Upper School Students)
Friday, January 27 | 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | Upper School Gym

Students planning to attend should complete this form. If a student plans on bringing a guest from outside the King class, there is a permission form for that guest that will need to be filled out. Students should connect with Ms. Kennedy ASAP via email at mkennedy@kingschoolct.org or stop by. If a permission form not filled out for a guest, they may not attend

Winter Showcase Event Schedule
Saturday, January 28 | Upper School Gym

  • 11:45 a.m. - Faculty and Coaches vs. Upper School Student Basketball Game
  • 1:30 p.m . - Varsity Girls Basketball Game vs. Forman
  • 3:30 p.m. - Varsity Boys Basketball Game vs. Forman
  • 6:00 p.m. - Varsity Ice Hockey Game vs. Kingswood-Oxford (at Stamford Twin Rinks)

Flik will be serving hot dogs, chicken fingers, and fries from 1:30-4:30 p.m. for King students and athletes in attendance.

 

King students, come out to support the Vikings at the Winter Showcase on Saturday, January 28 and win a pair of airpods!

Viking Pride and the King Parent Association will be giving away three pairs of AirPods, one at each of the home varsity games, during the Winter Showcase on Saturday, January 28!

Prize tickets will be given out to all King students arriving to the upper school gym before halftime of the Varsity Girls Basketball game at 1:30 p.m., before halftime of the Varsity Boys Basketball game at 3:30 p.m., and at Stamford Twin Rinks before the end of the first period of the Varsity Ice Hockey game at 6:00 p.m. at Stamford Twin Rinks. At some point in the second half of each basketball game and during the third period of the hockey game, the Viking Price parents will draw the winning ticket for the AirPods. Students must be present to win.
