Lower School Winter Concert Builds Harmony

View all photos here and check back next week for a recording of the performance.

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 showcased their talents in the festive Lower School Winter Concert, delighting families, faculty, and staff who filed into the Performing Arts Center for the occasion.

As a special treat prior to the performance, Upper School Vocal Arts students sang carols in the Performing Arts Center lobby, welcoming attendees with holiday cheer.

Each grade performed three pieces, with Grade 5 students providing background information on each. The selection ranged from classic to contemporary works, including songs like "Snow Pants and Winter Giggles," "Light a Candle for Peace," and "Holiday Mash-Up.

The concert brought students together through the universal language of music, creating a space for collaboration, self-expression, and cultural exploration. Preparing for the event throughout the fall, students discover the joy of making music as a group while nurturing their own unique musical identities.

The program provided a special opportunity for those who have been honing their skills outside of class to showcase their talents.

Choir Conductor Rachel Salem led the performances with precision, while Jamie Lajoie ensured flawless technical execution. The concert ended on a high note, leaving the audience thoroughly impressed and eager for more.

As the grand finale of the semester, the Lower School Winter Concert is the perfect way to build momentum as King sends students off into the festive spirit of Winter Break.
