Guilbert Francois Headshot

King School is pleased to announce that this year’s graduation speaker will be Guilbert Francois, a proud member of the Class of 2013.

Guilbert has built a dynamic career at the forefront of innovation, working across some of the most influential organizations shaping technology, media, and digital experiences today.

Guilbert currently works in Product Marketing at OpenAI. In this role, he helps introduce AI products to the right audiences, define their value, coordinate launches and messaging across teams, and influence the company’s global strategy.

Prior to that, he spent over four years in the National Basketball Association, most recently as Director of Product Marketing, Direct-to-Consumer, after serving as Senior Product Marketing Manager.

Earlier in his career, Guilbert worked at Instagram on creator monetization and at Microsoft, where he worked on the Bing Search and Maps APIs, focusing on pricing models, go-to-market strategy, and marketing initiatives. During his time at Microsoft, he also completed the ACE Rotational Program, gaining experience across its marketing and consumer business organization.

Across these roles, Guilbert has consistently been part of teams shaping how technology connects people, creates opportunities, and adapts to a rapidly evolving world. His career reflects an ability to navigate change, embrace new challenges, and contribute meaningfully in environments defined by constant innovation.

Guilbert earned his degree in Economics from Duke University, where he was actively involved in the Duke Chapter of the NAACP and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

As an alumnus of King School, Guilbert’s journey strongly reflects the school’s mission to prepare students for success in a rapidly changing world. His experiences demonstrate the value of curiosity, adaptability, and leadership in navigating complex and evolving landscapes. We are confident that his perspective will resonate deeply with our graduates as they prepare to take their next steps.

His path offers a powerful example of how a King education can serve as a foundation for meaningful impact, and we know his words will inspire the class of 2026 as they look toward the future.
