Athletics Update - November 11
Varsity Volleyball

Vikings keep up the pace in the post season. Advancing to the FAA Finals for the first time since 2017, Volleyball will host Sacred Heart Greenwich in the championship match tonight. Varisty Boys and Girls Soccer advance to the playoffs while Cross Country and Football wrap up their seasons.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team as they defeated Greenwich Academy 3-0 on Wednesday to advance to the FAA finals! The top-seeded and undefeated (18-0) Vikings will host Sacred Heart Greenwich in the championship match today!

*In honor of Veterans Day, the theme for the game will be USA Red, White, and Blue! Show up in your full gameday spirit to root the Vikings on to victory as they host the first title match at King since 2017!

Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer
Congratulations also to the Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer teams for advancing to the FAA playoffs! The boys had a thrilling road win over Hopkins School on Monday 7-6 in penalty kicks before falling to host GFA in an FAA semi-final 2-0 on Wednesday. The Vikings are hoping for a high seed in the New England tournament when selections are made this weekend. The girls traveled for their first-round game on Tuesday, playing hard until the final horn in a 3-0 loss to Greens Farms Academy. They are also hopeful to receive a bid for the New England tournament this weekend.

Girls Soccer

Cross Country and Football
Cross Country and Football will wrap up their seasons this Saturday. The Cross Country athletes will compete in the New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) Division IV Cross Country Championships at the The Marvelwood School in Kent, CT, while Football will welcome in Capital Preparatory Harbor School for a 1:00 p.m. home game on the Segalas Family South Field turf.

Upper School Winter Sports

Middle School Winter Sports
Middle School students will have an orientation session during the sports period time on Wednesday, November 16 in the Lower School Gym, followed by the first day of training sessions on Friday, November 18. Check the Participating in Sports Information winter season section of our Middle School Athletics webpage for additional information, including a full list of programs with practice times and participation fees. Students will be given the chance to shift to different offerings after we return from Thanksgiving break, but due to space and roster limitations, not every program will have room available.
