Tomorrow, Saturday, January 21, the Vikings will take the court again at home against Canterbury School at 2:00 p.m. in the Upper School Gym.
Varsity Ice Hockey welcomed Wooster School to Stamford Twin Rinks on Wednesday. After a slow start, the Vikings used a balanced attack of crisp passing and timely scoring to cruise to an 8-1 victory. Congratulations to freshman Max Winston ’26 on scoring his first varsity goal! Sophomore Brandon Chan ’25 notched four assists on the day, while juniors Ben Bradley ’24 and Ryan Wempen ’24 had two goals each, and sophomore Justin Garvey ’25 added two assists. The Vikings remain hot, having recently defeated Hamden Hall 7-2 and Harvey 6-4 since the return from the December break. In addition to making 16 total three-point shots in the game, every active player on the roster scored for King! Last weekend’s game against a very physical Capital Prep Bridgeport team went a much different way, but the result was the same, with the Vikings holding on for a hard-fought 72-71 win!
The King JV Red and JV Blue Basketball teams each also have win streaks going, with the Red team currently undefeated at 7-0, with recent big wins over Harvey School and Greens Farms Academy (GFA), and the Blue team coming off of wins over St. Luke’s, GFA, and Masters.
