Varsity Girls Volleyball
The seven-time defending NEPSAC Class B Champs had a strong preseason campaign with exciting scrimmage victories over New Canaan High School and Connecticut State Champions Darien High School. The team also competed in a 6-team Jamboree at Wilton High School last weekend. Come on out Friday, September 8, to root on the Vikings as they open regular season play at home against NEPSAC Class D Champion Christian Heritage School in the Upper School Gym at 4:15 p.m.

Varsity Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team experienced preseason success with a 3-1 victory over Hackley School. Using that momentum, the squad took to the field for the first regular season fall event for all the Vikings teams and came away with a thrilling 1-1 draw against perennial NEPSAC powerhouse South Kent School! With just over 7 minutes remaining in the game, Elliott Miller '24 found the back of the net on a rocket shot from distance on a beautiful feed from Ignacio Silvani '24. They will look to build from here as they take on a very strong early season slate of opponents with a game at The MacDuffie School on Saturday, September 9, and against Brunswick School on Monday, September 11.

Varsity Girls Soccer
King's girls soccer team had a strong outing against Hackley in their opening scrimmage and then took part in a jamboree at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk. Playing a half each against Bunnell High School and Masuk High School, the Vikings scored five goals during the jamboree. The first game of the season was pushed back due to the high heat, so the opening regular season game will now be held on Tuesday, September 12, at 4:15 p.m. at the The Harvey School.

Varsity Field Hockey
Field hockey had a very strong preseason, earning wins in both scrimmages, a 3-0 victory over Hackley, and a tremendous 3-2 victory over St. Joseph High School, including a hat trick and highlight reel, top-10 goal by Jordyn Ennis '26! The team also enjoyed a successful jamboree facing off against many local rivals, compiling a 5-2 record on a busy day at New Milford High School. While the first game of the season was postponed due to the heatwave this week, the Vikings will open up their regular season on Wednesday, September 13, against Hamden Hall at 4:15 p.m. on the Armstrong and King Family Fields middle turf.

Varsity Football
The football team faced strong competition in their opening Jamboree of the 2023 preseason. The Vikings squared off against Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Rye Country Day School, and St. Lukes, for a great morning of football. The athletes and coaches have begun to lay the groundwork for a highly anticipated 2023 season under first-year head coach Tom Brodschardt and will open up with their first game of the year Saturday, September 9, at 1:00 p.m. on the Segalas Family Field south turf against league opponent Morristown Beard School.

Fall Crew
Fall Crew athletes have been working hard, both on and off the water, competing against each other and themselves as they establish their baseline numbers for the year in preparation for a fantastic 2023 season. When not out on the water at RowAmerica Greenwich, the Crew team athletes can be seen in the Upper School cardio room training hard for upcoming regattas!

Cross Country
Cross country held their initial time trials September 1, in preparation for their first FAA meet on September 20 at Greens Farms Academy. The boys and girls have ramped up their mileage as the season has progressed. You can see them running on and off campus every afternoon in preparation for the first meet of the season!
