Golf lovers enjoyed a beautiful day of camaraderie at The Apawamis Club in Rye on Monday, May 20, where King School parents, students, alumni, faculty, and staff gathered for a day on the course to raise funds for financial access.
Participants enjoyed lunch as they warmed up on the putting greens and driving range before a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.
The challenging 18-hole course, which comprised of rugged Westchester terrain and fast and slick small greens, demanded accuracy off the tee and defensive approach shots to specific target areas. The final results of the day resulted in a match-of-cards tie-breaker for second and third place, determining the winners based on the best score on previously played holes.
After completing their round, guests enjoyed dinner at the clubhouse overlooking the course. Director of Development Barbara Drayer addressed the audience, and raffle winners were announced at the event's conclusion.
