Class of 2021
Senior Parent Gift
This year’s Grade 12 parents have raised more than $450,000 in gifts and pledges in support of King School -- from the King Fund, to financial access, to college counseling, and so much more. As of June 8, we’ve reached 74% towards a class goal of 100% participation. The Senior Parent Gift is an important tradition here at King, and we hope our class will continue to make an impact, as other senior parents have done before us.
This year, there are three main components to choose from for our Senior Parent Gift:
- Support the operations of the college counseling office via a designated King Fund Gift. NOTE: we have a $50,000 matching opportunity if you donate to this area! We’ve reached $45,285 towards reaching this full $50,000 commitment. Only $4,716 left to go!
- Support the unrestricted King Fund with a generous gift (the pressure on the operating budget is BIG this year due to all the COVID-19 accommodations.)
- Support the Legacy Fund (temporarily endowed to support financial access and faculty development.)
Please consider joining these efforts and honor your senior's success with a Senior Parent Gift. Click here to make your gift or pledge today. For more details, contact Christy Burkart at email@example.com. Thank you!

Seating for Guests
There are four seats reserved for each family; location of the seating assignments is done by lottery. Tickets are not required for graduation.
- Dress code: This is a formal event so no flip flops, sneakers or shorts allowed. Formal attire includes a white button-down collared shirt with tie and trousers, formal pants and a blouse, or a dress.
- Gown: Keep your gown on a hanger so that the wrinkles fall out, or put into a dryer for 5-10 minutes on fluff before arriving to campus.
- Caps: Use hairpins, if necessary, to attach cap (supplies and assistance will be provided on campus prior to commencement). The tassel attaches to the button in the middle of the cap. Graduates should wear the tassel on the right side at the beginning of the ceremony and move the tassel to the left, as a group, when given the signal. Students must return their gowns immediately following the ceremony to the PAC lobby. Students may keep the cap and tassel.
Family Graduation portraits
Highpoint Pictures will be taking photos of all seniors on Friday, June 4 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. prior to the commencement ceremony at the Simon House. Individual portraits and family photos will be taken for each graduate!
There is no fee to have pictures taken and no forms are due in advance. All photos will be posted to a private online gallery on Highpoint’s website 2-3 weeks after Commencement. You can browse all photos online and order prints and/or image files of any photos – no obligation.
All slots have been reserved. If you were not able to sign up, please contact Director of Marketing Lakeya Graves at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Graduation yard signs
Let your neighbors know a King School Class of 2021 graduate lives here! Each senior will receive custom yard signs and window clings to show your Viking pride. Signage may be picked up by students from the College Counseling Office during regular school hours or on May 27 at the Julie Lythcott-Haims event.

SENIOR CLASS STUDENT GIFT 2021!
The Senior Class Gift is a tradition that has transcended King Seniors for decades. Calling all Class of 2021 students: please consider joining us today with your gift to be a part of the tradition. We are hoping for 100% participation from our grade, a goal that has been achieved for many years. We encourage you to make your donation of $20.21 (or any amount) to this student-led initiative.
This year, the Class of 2021 would like to raise money to provide an outdoor hangout for all Upper School students: a space where students can come together to collaborate on academics, unwind from any stresses or anxieties, foster relationships with their peers that will last a lifetime, and enjoy some fresh air!
Welcome to the Alumni Association!
Save the date to return to campus for your first Homecoming as alumni! Please join us Friday, October 22 - Sunday, October 24, 2021. More details will be shared in Fall 2021.
