Parents' Association

The King Parents’ Association (PA) is a dynamic organization that plays a vital role in our School community. The organization depends and thrives on the active participation of parent volunteers who sponsor a variety of projects and programs designed to support King's Mission by:

  • Improving and enhancing the educational experience of the students
  • Helping create a spirit of community
  • Facilitating communication
  • Supporting administrative and Faculty needs

The PA serves as a general advocate for the parent body and facilitates communication between parents and the School through general membership meetings. The PA will hold its General Meetings for all members three times per year in September, January and May. The President of the Parents’ Association serves as an Ex Officio member of the Board of Trustee, and, as such, attends Board meetings and serves on Board committees. New Hot Coffee, Hot Topics Speaker Series Starts by Exploring Cultural Competence

Dr. Jean-Baptiste introduced a new series of parent education events: Hot Coffee, Hot Topics.  These are parent/caregiver workshops and discussions to grow our collective social, intellectual, emotional capacity for navigating current cultural and social transformations that impact how children learn.  In these events, parents and caregivers will engage with each other, learn, and talk about tools, strategies, and challenges for developing cultural competence and how to provide a full circle of support for students from school to home.
