The King School Parents’ Association is pleased to invite you to our biennial spring fundraiser, the Kingtucky Derby.
The Kingtucky Derby will be a fun-filled evening, with delicious Southern fare, delectable mint juleps, dashing hats, debonair bow ties, and dancing to a lively band playing your favorites. Most exciting – there are amazing Silent and Live Auctions with delightful items to win!
We will also honor Head of School Tom Main. Tom has been Head of School at King for sixteen years, during which he transformed King into the outstanding school that it is today. Tom embodies the King virtues of integrity, kindness, perseverance, and respect, and has meant so much to so many. We look forward to celebrating his amazing service to King in April.
Proceeds from the event will support both Financial Aid and the new Innovation Lab at King. We strive to have the most talented and diverse student body that we can have, and scholarships are an essential part of achieving this goal. King, with your help, can welcome highly qualified students regardless of their financial circumstances.
The new Innovation Lab, opening late 2018, will benefit all of our students. It will be a place where creativity can thrive and our students can learn experientially. Filled with tools and equipment to support exploration in many disciplines, the Innovation Lab will be an exciting and invaluable addition to academic life at King!
Shop for your Derby hat or bow tie, and brush up on your knowledge of thoroughbreds, because King is going to the Races! We look forward to honoring Tom Main and celebrating our bright future with you on April 28.
With much appreciation,
