Mallory Ehlers keeps throwing strikes during her Senior year at King School.
After a week that saw King Varsity Softball win their 2019 Spring Athletics season home opener 18-0 against Sacred Heart Greenwich behind the pitching of Mallory, the two-sport athlete has been named the Scholar Athlete of the Week by News 12 CT and Norwalk Hospital.
Along with helping lead the Vikings as team captain and anchoring the pitching staff after a Junior year where she earned FAA Honorable Mention All-League honors, Mallory is a standout member of the Cross Country team and also excels in the classroom at King.
The New Canaan native is one of four students (seniors Portia Cummings and Ashley Xu, and junior Harry Amadeo) in the Advanced Mathematics and Science Research (AMSR) Program after demonstrating an ability and interest in achieving true excellence within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Mallory wants to pursue biomedical engineering and possibly minor in neuroscience and has applied to some of the top 25 colleges in the country and plans to go to graduate school for either medicine or research.
Congratulations to Mallory Ehlers for being named Scholar Athlete of the Week by News 12 CT and Norwalk Hospital.
