The 2024-25 school year marked a historic milestone for King Athletics, with a record-setting eight team championships, multiple individual titles, and dramatic program-wide improvements in performance. From undefeated seasons to first-ever program wins, the Vikings are riding a wave of success that reflects both growth and grit across all levels of competition. With momentum on their side, King athletes are setting a new standard for excellence.

This spring, King athletics delivered a truly historic season, with eight championship titles, 41 All-League and All-New England honors, and five more student-athletes signing on to compete at the collegiate level. From back-to-back New England titles in Girls Tennis and Boys Lacrosse, to senior Anya Anderson’s record-setting performances and a wave of postseason recognition across sports, the Vikings raised the bar in every arena.

A few stray balls and a cluster of Prekindergarten students were all it took to launch a months-long exploration of sports in Jessica Vigliotti’s class. What began with simple questions — What game is this for? How do you play it? — quickly evolved into hands-on projects, team-building challenges, and even visits from upper school athletes, all guided by the children’s observations and enthusiasm.
