Application Process & Timeline

King is finalizing plans for in-person events for the upcoming school year. Please check back in September for opportunities to visit campus.

We are currently accepting applications for select grades for the 2021-2022 academic year on a rolling basis. We will begin accepting applications for 2022-2023 in September 2021. Before starting your application, please email admission@kingschoolct.org for information on availability in your child(ren)'s grade.

Step 2: Sign-up or Sign-in. Click on APPLY NOW to open the SAO.

To make the application process easier and more efficient for your family, King School uses SSAT’s Standard Application Online (SAO). Many of our peer schools also use the SAO. We hope that you will find this helpful and that it will free up your time to be thoughtful about finding your best fit school. Start your application by following the instructions to complete the Student Profile and submit your application fee. Applications started after December 14 will be considered on a rolling basis. Please contact the Admission Office for information.

Please note: You may return to your application at any time to complete the Parent Statement, Student Essays (if applicable) and send Teacher Recommendations and Transcript Release Forms.

Key Dates

September 1- Admission application opens to families

November 1: Financial Access Application process begins

DECEMBER 13: APPLICATION DUE Applications completed after December 13 will be considered on a rolling basis and are not guaranteed to have an admission decision by February 18.

February 18: Admission and Financial Access Decision Letters Mailed

March 9: Accepted Applicants notify King School of Decision and Return Contract
