According to a recent press release from Skyliners: The Skyliners Synchronized Skating Team traveled to the 2017 Eastern Synchronized Sectional Championships on a mission – to perform their best and earn the coveted spots to the National Championships. Instead, their results were historic – Skyliners became the gold-medal champions in every division they entered: Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate and Novice.

Three of the lines on which King students skate won the Eastern Regional Championship title and one team (because of its level) is heading off to the National Championships to defend its 2016 title at the end of February.

These girls are very dedicated to this year-round sport, spending hours on the ice each week. Despite not being a King sport, these athletes still embody the positive attributes of teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, commitment, self-discipline, and loyalty. The girls continue to meet the heavy demands the sport requires. The entire King community congratulates Ella, Felicity, Ellie, Giovanna, and Lizzie!
