College Matriculation

Congratulations to the Class of 2025

In its four-year developmental approach, the College Counseling Department empowers students to reflect on their capabilities and ambitions in preparing for life beyond King. The collaboration between our counselors, students, parents, teachers, and colleges helps students find the right match in higher education, as evidenced by the successes we celebrate together.

"It has been an honor to work with the Class of 2025, a group distinguished by their intellectual curiosity, resilience, and commitment to personal growth. Their journey through King has been marked by thoughtful exploration and a dedication to discovering their authentic selves. The diverse range of colleges and universities they will attend next year reflects their academic achievements and their readiness to contribute meaningfully to the communities they join," said Director of College Counseling Jessica Landis. “Their next chapters are bright, and I know they are ready to meet them with courage and clarity.”

Our students have done more than develop skills; they have become passionate learners and caring citizens. King graduates land in college confident and prepared. More importantly, they arrive courageous and ready to make an impact in their communities. Our matriculation list reflects an impressive and diverse range of colleges and universities that best fit the unique interests and goals of our students.

OLIVIA ASNES

VASSAR COLLEGE

"At King, I was challenged academically in the classroom, and my teachers supported me while encouraging me to reach my highest potential. Because of this, I am confident that I will be able to succeed and find the answers to challenges that come my way. "

MADELINE SCANLON

VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY

"As I prepare to graduate, I’m grateful for the people and experiences that shaped me, from varsity goalie and golf captain to volunteering in the Math Help Center. The ASPIRE science program taught me resilience, and Dr. Schulman’s guidance helped me learn from failure. Dr. K’s passion for math and the support from Mr. Nelson and Mr. Hyatt in physics grew my confidence. Mr. G’s APUSH class helped me find my voice. At King, I also explored German, band, and DJing for my senior project. I’m honored to graduate as a Cum Laude Society member and look forward to studying electrical engineering at Villanova, grounded in all King has taught me."

KIRAN RAO

CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY

"Mr. O’Neill’s World History class taught me how to make claims, support arguments, and debate—skills I rely on often. Dr. K. showed me that learning is about the pursuit of understanding, not just the right answer. At King, the content has often been a vehicle for bigger life lessons. I’ve learned to value collaboration and take a step back when needed, without losing the drive to go 110% when it really matters. And what’s especially unique about King is the culture of support; it’s a place where asking for help is expected, and where students and teachers truly look out for each other. "

FELICITY GOUDIE

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY

"King has always empowered me to pursue what I love, from the after-school environmental program in third grade to organizing fundraisers with King Cares in the Upper School. With Mrs. Raidt’s support, I launched the Lower School Movie Night to benefit Girl Up. My teachers taught me to advocate for myself and value the learning process. As a lifer, King has been my home, and I’ll carry its lessons with me as I head to Georgetown, grounded in kindness, respect, integrity, and perseverance."

Morgan Powell

College of Charleston

"When I arrived at King, I quickly found community through clubs, eventually co-founding the Mental Health Awareness Club. Taking an art history elective sparked my passion for art, and Ms. LaPolla encouraged me to join Advanced Art and the yearbook team. Leading the yearbook process taught me project management, teamwork, and professionalism. These experiences helped me grow into a confident, organized leader, fully prepared for college and beyond. "

JAIPAL DOHIL

Williams College

"My time at King has been nothing short of transformative. After 12 years here, I’m deeply grateful for the teachers who’ve guided and inspired me. I’ve grown tremendously, and the opportunities I’ve had at King have been foundational to both my academic and personal development."

ANYA ANDERSON

BROWN UNIVERSITY

"King has been an incredible place to explore my passions, especially in track and science. Being part of the track program’s growth taught me focus, resilience, and confidence. Science classes with Dr. Schulman and Mr. DeFelice pushed me to think critically, and programs like Frog Club gave me hands-on experience. King helped me become a curious, independent learner ready to ask big questions and take on what’s next."

PARKER HAYASHI

DUKE UNIVERSITY

"I think that every class that I have taken at King has contributed to my academic and career goals, even if they seem unrelated to my college major. Although I am interested in computer science, learning about different governments and political systems in AP Comparative Government or exploring various pieces of literature in AP Literature has helped me tremendously in gaining an interdisciplinary understanding of the world, something that will undoubtedly serve me well in the future. As I get ready to graduate and go off to college, I can confidently say that the King community has helped me grow both as a student and an individual."
