In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day, which took place on Tuesday, May 4, the Parents’ Association hosted a faculty appreciation lunch to celebrate the hard work and dedication of King faculty during an unprecedented year.
King School faculty embraced new styles of teaching and learning despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents’ Association President Mini Nunna P’22 believes that the school year “would not have been as successful without all of our amazing teachers helping to lead the way.”
The students also glowed about their teachers for the special occasion, sharing some of the things they appreciate about King faculty. Middle School student Amy Powell gleamed, “I really appreciate all of my teachers and how they take the time to work with me personally because they really care about me.” Another student, Steven Blanco ’27, loves “how accepting all of the teachers are and how helpful they are.”
Parents, staff, and students expressed their gratitude in an appreciation video.
