We are thrilled to announce that Class of 2004 alumna and upcoming Speaker Series panelist Nedgine Paul has been selected for the 2016 Forbes "30 Under 30" Social Entrepreneurs list. Nedgine is co-founder and CEO of Anseye Pou Ayiti (Teach for Haiti), an organization that recruits and trains teachers to raise educational outcomes in existing schools across disadvantaged areas of Haiti.
Born in Haiti, Nedgine moved to the U.S. as a young girl and volunteered within the Haitian community locally through a number of organizations. After graduating King Low Heywood Thomas in 2004, Nedgine went on to attend Yale and receive an Ed.M. in International Education from Harvard's Graduate School of Education.
To learn more about Nedgine's work, her time at King Low Heywood Thomas, and how it has impacted her mission to expand quality educational opportunity in Haiti, take a look at the Alumni Blog she wrote for us.
Nedgine, along with Classmate Alex Soros '04, will be participating in an Alumni Panel Discussion moderated by Faculty member Christos Galanopoulos on Monday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
