King is excited to announce our 2017 Commencement Speaker is Facebook Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Gary Briggs '80. Commencement, which celebrates the Class of 2017, will be held on Friday, June 2, 5:00 p.m.
On Monday, April 17, nine Seniors and nine Juniors joined the prestigious Cum Laude Society during the annual induction ceremony in the PAC theater. "They are students for whom the pursuit of learning for its own sake is its own reward. They are students who accept new challenges with zeal and who work diligently to realize their goals. They are self-disciplined, have a powerful work ethic honed over the years that allows them to tackle each new project, and maintain a consistently high level of achievement."
We are fortunate to have Micah Hauben joining our King Community. He is an experienced, wise, and principled leader. King will benefit greatly from Mr. Hauben's extreme competence, outstanding integrity, great work ethic, and deep commitment to student-centeredness.
Congressman Jim Himes visited King on Tuesday, February 21, and began his day in the PAC addressing the entire Upper School. Immediately following his presentation, Himes conducted a Q&A with a small group of students and pondered questions on climate change, national debt, fake news, and politics in general.
